Weight loss with oral semaglutide varies, with average reductions of about 5% to 10% of your initial body weight over 12 weeks. This translates to 10-20 pounds for a 200-pound person, depending on diet, lifestyle changes, and individual health factors. Success with oral semaglutide typically involves a combined approach of medication, improved diet, and increased physical activity.

Appetite regulation

Semaglutide targets brain appetite centers, decreasing hunger and increasing satiety, aiding in calorie reduction and a healthier diet.

Slow gastric emptying

Semaglutide delays the rate at which the stomach empties, which results in a slower absorption of nutrients, including glucose.

Enhance insulin secretion

Semaglutide stimulates the release of insulin in response to high blood sugar levels, which helps lower and regulate blood sugar.
